Originally by: Blue Wraith Agent Nerfs I can see reason for some of this, but this has been overnerfed. A decrease in bounties would have been just fine in and of itself, without the increase in difficulty and travel times to missions. People arguing that running missions causes inflation are right... but so does mining, since belts respawn too... there's not a limited number of ores that can be mined, so this will always lead to inflation eventually. Perhaps missions were overly prosperous, but again, a simple bounty decrease would have done the trick without significantly impacting the ability to do the missions. That combined with the...
Missile Nerf Missiles have been far overnerfed. Large guns can at least hit frigates at range with the right modules. Torps, regardless of skills and equipment, can forget it. Basically missiles have been nerfed to where they work just like guns, but they are worse. This makes missile using platforms bad platforms for general use. Unfortunately, I picked Caldari as my starting race. Also, last time I saw a torpedo explosion in Eve, the graphical effect is approximately 25km in radius, so you're telling me that frigates get outside of the blast radius before the explosions finishes? It just doesn't make logical sense that torps don't do any damage to frigates. It makes sense on guns, since the round can just miss... but as the saying goes, close only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades. Close is not good enough for guns, but is should be plenty good enough for explosions.
New Ships -Dreadnauts seem useless -- like getting a submersible yacht. Sure, it's neat, but only if you had money to burn would you bother with it, because its utility is so much less than its investment (of both time and isk). -Freighters seem very nice, but they still cost too much.
As it stands now, I don't have much of anything to do. I'm training up the missile skills, of course, but with the combined might of the missile and agent nerfs, my occupation in the game has been destroyed. I have no interest in staring at roids all day. I have no interest in trading insults and volleys in 0.0 with people who have nothing better to do than grief you by blowing up your hard-earned ships and equipment for no good reason other than it being fun. (Not that everyone there is that way, just the majority.) I just like to PvE (missions in this case), and as it stands, that has been seriously messed with, and my skillset has been rendered useless for my occupation (being mostly Caldari, training missiles/shields). I'm giving it another month to see if some of these nerfs are going to be repealed and if not I'm going to find another game to play. This patch seems to show that Eve was designed to be a game for miners, economists, and pirates... with no room for PvE.

rgr that. Might as well launch twinkies. This particularly hurts Caldari in general. Raven useless without millions in skills now and a serious commitment to training again. BTW, enough already, what is this day 3 and no autopilot fix! Bad enough that prior 12 jumps are taking in the mid 20's, but now you have to manually set waypoints to avoid the low sec areas that are the only option in traveling from race region to race regioon I have seen. Obviously CCP is trying to bleed out isk from characters. This is the only logical reason. This bleeding, if they watch the numbers, will have a mathematical correlation to the loss of players, especially devoted long-time multi-account ones. Has anytyhing listed in this forum been addressed? I login each day to see, and it appears not. /end rant
